Reflexology is a gentle and natural therapy used since the time of the Ancient Egyptians. Reflex areas on the feet (and hands) correspond to every part, organ and gland of the body. Through applying pressure with thumbs and fingers on these reflex points, your whole body can be treated and encouraged to work naturally to restore its own healthy balance. Regular sessions of reflexology can help to maintain and improve your physical and mental well-being, helping you cope better with life by lessening the effect of stress on your body.

What to expect
You sit in a comfortable, semi-reclined position. Socks and shoes are removed and the session usually begins with a warm foot soak to help you unwind and start to relax. The feet are then massaged to warm up the tissues, followed by slow, gentle movements from your toes to your heels, reflexing the soles, the sides, and the tops of your feet. Often, people experience an immediate relaxing effect; sometimes a little discomfort is noticed whilst certain areas are being reflexed, highlighting an area of imbalance. Many people feel sleepy, close their eyes or just enjoy the time to themselves of being cherished. The session ends with a relaxing foot massage using moisturising cream.
A reflexology session lasts for 1 hour.
